Jumpstart front card: Heavily Armored

What… what is going on.
Arcades is cool and so is Doran, but to play them together, you need to be running at least four colours. Ikra Shidiqi also works with high toughness creatures, and then you need Ishai to partner with it to get the right colour combination. So this is four-colour toughness lifegain shenanigans.

Does this deck work at all?
It works now. It’s been through a significant amount of revisions to try to make it even close to functional. At some point, the deck hit a critical mass of moving parts and now it can actually do things.

Such as…?
The main strategy is to build up a lot of defensive walls and then eventually hit a card that turns them into deathballs. Unblockable deathballs, if I can hit cards like Tetsuko Umezawa. There are enough draws and tutors that it works more often than you’d think. There’s also some incidental lifegain

Does it do anything else?
There are a couple infinite combos and win-cons.
– Angel of Destiny is a win-con in and of itself.
– Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose are an infinite combo.
– …alright, ready for this? For this combo, you’ll need Axebane Guardian, High Alert, three other defenders, and Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim. Axebane Guardian taps for four mana in any colour combination, with three of this mana going into untapping it with High Alert. With infinite mana in any colour, you can use Ayli to repeatedly sac your commander, gaining infinite life and exiling all nonland permanents your opponents control.

That sounds awful.
The worst part is that I found it while staring at my board. It’s entirely possible that I’m the only person to ever pull off this combo, and it’s also entirely possible that I will never pull it off again.

Any final thoughts?
This deck is stupid as anything. Wizards, print more cards for this deck please so I can confuse more people about its existence.
